Blue Moon Portraits Studio based in Dingwall, highlands.
I have been a photographer for 15 years now but photography has been in my blood since I was a young child.
From looking at my Grandma's National Geographic magazines & spending my holidays going through slides and photos with my other Granny I picked up a passion for capturing people very quickly.
After a while of trying all sorts of types of photography I found my biggest passion lay in Newborn & Family Portraits.
The name Blue Moon Portraits came from the term "Once in a Blue Moon". Getting our photographs taken is not something we do weekly, its not necessity it is luxury and often reflects when there is a big change in our lives. Once in a blue moon something changes or happens, like having kids.
Which is why I love capturing your creation of new life and freezing moments in time of your family as they grow.
These are the images that will last a lifetime and more. Not just for you but for them when they are older to show their families.
My new logo I created in 2020 in the midst of lockdown.
The Blue Moon represents as said above and the love for a moon.
The camera is a given I am a photography company after all.
Thistles are my favourite flower and remind me of home in the highlands.
The highland cow however well she represents family and my Aunty Lorraine in particular who passed away from MND to young.
Family is very important to me and she was a farmers wife in Mull with the Highland Cows which is where the cow comes from.
