About Me
I’m Lynsey, the heart behind Blue Moon Portraits — based right here in the Highlands, where life’s fleeting moments are captured with warmth, honesty, and meaning.
Photography, for me, has always been more than just a job.
It’s a passion rooted in connection — in preserving memories that remind us of love, belonging, and the beauty within ordinary days.
I’ve walked through deep loss and incredible joy, and those experiences shape every photograph I take.
In early 2025, I lost my mum, Leona. She was one of the brightest, most complex souls — a woman who lived with autism and inattentive ADHD, whose light shone despite immense struggles. Losing her changed me profoundly.
It reminded me why photographs are so important. They become our anchors — tangible proof of love, laughter, and life itself.
Every printed image, every album, every framed memory holds something priceless: the reminder that we are loved and that we mattered.
As a mum myself, and someone with ADHD (and probably AuDHD), I bring that understanding and empathy into every session.
I’m also a proud advocate for children and families with additional support needs.
Two of my own children are on the spectrum, so I know first-hand how important it is for your child to feel comfortable, seen, and safe.
My studio is a judgment-free zone — a place where every child, no matter their needs, can simply be themselves.
Whether you’re coming to me for your newborn’s first portraits, a family session, or a milestone birthday, my goal is simple: to capture your story in a way that feels real and full of heart.
Every giggle, every cuddle, every quiet glance — those are the moments that tell your story.
Over the years, so many families have trusted me with their most precious memories, and it’s something I never take for granted.
I pour my heart into every image because I know, one day, those photographs will mean more than words ever could.
At Blue Moon Portraits, this isn’t just about pictures — it’s about people, connection, and legacy.
